The best natural color!

Very often people comment on my hair and how wonderful it must be to not have to get it colored. Thanks Anne!!!!!! not only is my color "natural" Anne changes the shade slightly depending on the season. I have been going to tintelations for 11 years and have always been 100% satisfied with the service, colorists and stylists, atmosphere and most importantly, the end result.
I have never had to have something "redone" but have witnessed customers not satisfied with the color choice they made have their hair redone, without question.
If you are interested in great color, well trained and professional colorists and stylists and a homey "everyone knows your name" atmosphere - Tintelations is for you.

I've been a client of Tom's for years. His blow-outs, cuts, and color are suburb. He is always accomodating, skillful, and has an natural instinct about what works best for your hair. Tom has a wonderful sense of style, great humor, and offers great recommendations for movies. What more can you ask for in a hair salon?

I have been seeing Tom for years, and he has always given me incredible service, a wonderful color job, and great advice about my hair. He's funny, engaging and down to earth. Can't recommend him enough!

Best hair color

I've been going to Tintelations for over 10 years. I'm always getting compliments on my hair and everyone thinks it is my natural color (far from it). My hair is greying and I decided to go blond. As my natural color has changed over the years, they have maintained a natural-looking, consistent, great color for me. I've been to Ann (the owner - the best colorist ever!), Carla and Tom - all excellent. You won't find a better shop for color anywhere. I highly recommend it to anyone for any type of hair color. Mine always comes out perfect. I tried a number of different salons and I would never go anywhere else.

Good color, good cut and lots of fun!

I have recently moved from Atlanta and was having a hard time finding a good salon that was not stuffy, that is, until today! Tom was funny and full of life and did a great job on my hair. Charlene waxed my eyebrows and she was just super! I really recommend Tintelations. If you want a great cut/color at a great price, this is the salon for you.

Great Service, Great Price

Tom was fantastic! I wanted to do something to fix highlights that I didn't like, and he was amazing. Gave me several suggestions of ways to change it, and then left it up to me - and did exactly what he said he would. My haircut is also amazing (also by Tom) and very flattering. Again, gave me a few suggestions and then left the decision up to me. Spent tons of time talking about options, felt great. Would definitely go there. Price was great too - $45 for cut and blow-dry - amazing prices for Boston

Salt and Pepper

It was my first visit at the Beacon St. Brookline salon. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. I met my stylist Tom and handed him my notes. Hoping to go from "solid white" to a sprinkling of "salt and pepper" for a more "youthful" look, I asked for "foil frosting," and a trim for my grown-out short bob. I was pleased and relieved that Tom understood. He was nice to say my scribblings were a great idea and that he could achieve that look. Tom did a great job! He suggested a semi-permanent tint, to look the most "natural." We had a pleasant conversation, which relaxed me and (hopefully) didn't seem to bother Tom's concentration. When I got home, my husband was very pleased with the results! Thanks, Tom! I will definitely be back to keep up my new color and style.

* Pros: public transportation, reasonably priced, serve coffee/tea

I have had my hair colored at Tintelations for nearly 20 years. I am continually amazed by Ann's artistry as a colorist. Like a true artist, she is able to combine shades of color to match my skin tones and even emotional states. I' ve seen her do the same amazing work with many other customers. She has also corrected color mistakes for customers that were done elsewhere or in their sinks at home occasionally covering up hints of green! She is compassionate and ingenious when working with cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy matching color and cutting wigs to mirror their natural look. Tintelations is a real treasure. I look forward to my color appointments, knowing I will leave looking 10 years younger.

Wondeful Color, Cut and Great Atmosphere

Hidden away on Beacon St. is a jewel of a hairdresser. Sick of the Newbury St. attitude and prices, I decided I would give Tintelations a shot. Usually when I walk into hairdressers here in Boston, I feel super uncomfortable. This time it was different. It was really relaxed and laid back. Charlene, my stylist, was a real sweetheart. She managed to dye my hair back to my original hair color, which so far no one has managed to do and I paid half of what I paid on Newbury St. My hair cut is exactly what I wanted, not too much off, and easy to maintain. Wonderful place, HIGHLY Recommend!
